  • The OrCAD and Allegro PCB Editors use a system HOME environmental variable to force the software to locate its local environment file (env) which contains your preferences set in the User Preferences utility. This env file is located in a pcbenv directory whose location is controlled by the HOME variable.
  • Assigning Footprints to Your Components. Find components’ footprints in OrCAD PCB Editor’s footprint libraries and assign the footprint names to properties spreadsheet in OrCAD Capture, or simply find a pre-built component footprints from Ultra Librarian.

Orcad

Actually I am using orCAD 10 in windows 8. I want to print layout file with actual size for manufacturing of board I have heard the idea to do so 'try saving as a 'Postscript' file with 'print to file -.ps file type - before then converting to.pdf' but i do not have that particular software to do so.

File -> Open -> Design.
Select File Type .sch in the filter then select your schematics
You need olso the original library(s) to convert correctly the schematics.

Orcad open pcb file downloadi think that's the problem. We dont have the original library. And the customer dont have it also. He don't use orcad since some years and he did a backup of the schematic files only.
We must the schematics view and/or print only. Some other hints??
